11 degrees when I turned the truck off. Still the only taker for Camping in Lot D@Killington.
It got to be winter fast, and now Killington mountain looks ready for action!

coffee and stuff ready for morning.
Heat is at 50, til I turn in. Set to 45 for the night.
I ventured out, to try putting a gallon of fresh water in, because the pump keeps running.
fixed it! Guess I’m going to have to see about getting a few more gallons for the shower.

cool view thru the ice on my heiki

I showered in the Liberty, dressed to ski, and moved from Lot D to as close as I could park.
With only two runs open, I decided to just Telemark today. It was soft because the air temp was in the low 4Os. A small group of die hards was already assembled when I got to the Gondola at 8:50.
Mostly an uneventful day, 4 or 5 runs. I did almost get hit by a piece of ice that fell off a tree and landed a few feet away while I was taking pictures!

So, I was sad not to have made it past Syracuse when I headed out to Colorado a few weeks back. I had reasons of the familiar nature, not to mention NYC Dead & Co tix.
So I write this from Lot D, Killington Resort designated camping area.
I did 7 runs on the only trail open. Bumps!!
The morning I skied Heavy Metal, 3 runs.
Now bear in mind, to access the first lift, a huge 8 person gondola, I hiked up a small hill. With 2 pairs of skis and boots. After the gondola ride, a much longer hike (mostly down steps) to get to the trail.

Fun day

The sunfish came with too heavy a trailer, so, once again I went all in.

So, getting the driveway the same week as LLLY arrived home has been fun. This GMC Sierra 1500 is cushy, thanks to soft and cushy in Schenectady.
XM 23 is keeping me company while I drain the trucks extra power. Gonna get the app
I stopped for gas, and realized the fastgun blocks the tank, Maybe I’ll lock the fastgun, thereby locking my gas tank!
Or maybe not.
A step ladder seems to work fine for getting in and out. I may need to get another so we can keep the one at home.
I tried stacking my step mother’s plastic chair under the plastic steps I found in the basement. Bad idea, I landed weird and tweaked my right ankle. Didn’t do my bad right knee any favors either. Glad I was home alone!
I drained every drop of water, and plan to fill the thetford with the winter window washer fluid.
The rain was still clinging to Liberty when I got up and went to Brattleboro for a cinnamon bagel and coffee.
I closed all the windows, opened the Heiki vent over my head one notch. I set the digital thermostat to 60, but never heard it go on.
The windows and vents are amazing: sound blocking and screens and shades.
Despite some drama at home, I am content to wait for the fast gun tie downs.
